Electric Memories

Taken back into the past

Into awkward days

That passed by too fast

Taking a stance

On the course of today

Attempting to fall the right way

Electric memories

Elicited mentors

Entrapped in shadows of the past life

Holding the keys

Dangle in our reach

But never do we find

The courage to reach out

Electric memories spent dwelling in cities

With elected members opening dangerous doors

To the other side of consciousness

Where our choices don’t affect us

‘Cause there is always another to blame

Electric dresses, electric faces

In enchanted places

Living life lost in mazes

Enclosed by the shadow keeper

Who holds the keys in front of us

But runs away in the maze

When we reach out

Can’t take back time

Can’t relive what’s done

Can’t figure out how to undo what’s done

Millions of mistakes

Left engraved in electric walls

Electric lights called to lost children

Late at night

"Come out and play"

Opening the door to the other side of consciousness

Where our choices don’t affect us

‘Cause there is always another to blame

Electric faces, electric places
