The Disconnected

Can you use a car without energy? Can you use fire with nothing to burn? No. And in a way, can you be truly alive, living, existing if you are disconnected? The body is an instrument of the soul. The mind connects the two and creates a balance, transferring energy like a chord from one to the other.

Are you unplugged? Are you disconnected? Many are. Many live without living, breathe without breathing, love, hate, come go, then are not connected. They are hollow, translucent. Like a ghost.

Disconnecting is the soul's defense mechanism. The tragedy of modern times is that most disconnect before they understand or experience being whole, being complete, being one with life, with love, with reality, with God.

Humanity's conscience and soul are pulled out rapidly, before most are old enough to be aware of the detachment.

The worst kind of evil you never see. It is like a gas that kills in silence. Covering the floors unseen till it's too late.

Disconnecting happens when your soul cannot deal and/or it becomes painful to deal with reality.

The soul is the most aware, most sensitive, the core of what makes us human. The less soul we possess, the more animalistic we become. This is very clear if you choose to see it. It is rampant within our current state as well as very visible in the past. Hitler, Bush and so on (excuse me for the comparison, but they are both killing because they wanted to rule the world).

The soul in its form – in its true state – is the part created to know, to be aware, to understand the difference between good and evil. Like a detector, it tunes into people, places, events, the world and it reacts. If it is wrong, the soul will tell you. If it is evil, it will speak. If you know you shouldn't do something and you feel you shouldn't do it, that is your soul telling you, warning you, attempting to prevent you from hurting yourself.

Now, let's say you ignore it. You then have closed the door, pulled the cord. You have done what most do and simply disconnect.

Now, isn't it easier? Isn't it better? Now you can do what you want without the soul trying to influence you. Why listen? What good is it? Why not just enjoy life? Enjoy these things. Welcome to a world that is no longer real. You are now living without one third of yourself. Now that the soul is nicely locked in the closet of the backroom, you can go out and experience the other side.

The other side, in ways it is very much another side. Which is why everyone speaks of two voices, the war inside, right/wrong, black/white, good/evil, yes/no. Two. Not six. Not twenty. Two.

If you live life with and primarily channeling things through the eyes of the soul, being aware of what is going on can be painful. Most decide to ignore, avoid or numb this pain by unplugging. Christians, Muslims, Jews – who cares what religion you are? The soul doesn't care either. Religion is a creation of man, not God. If you're plugged in, the news is painful and let's be real – the news is painful. Why do we spend our dinner time watching and feeding death, destruction, war, violence, anger, rape, murder? Why are we giving a plastic box our undivided attention so that we can remember and be reminded of all the evil and darkness? What does it give us? How does it help us? Does it make us grow? Is it beautiful? Is it true? Is it even real? Or is it merely a tool of Satan being used to cause your soul to disconnect?

Or do you choose not to feel? Because if you did feel, you would hurt. You would cry. You would see those people are just like you. They are you and if you feel, you understand that you have to love them. If you love someone, wouldn't it hurt you to see them in pain?

I can't watch the news. I turn it off. Places I go now force it on you. Restaurants, airports, the street, the subway. I cry sometimes because there are fewer and fewer places for the soul.

I see people walking around disconnected, their cords dragging behind. Plug yourself back in! It's difficult. When I was 15, I started trying to unplug. I filled my mind with sounds and noise. I filled my body with drugs and alcohol. As long as I was high, my mind was incapable of translating my soul to my body, making the signal weaker. Not because there was no signal because I don't believe souls ever die. If they did, we would have no need for an afterlife.

But you distract. You disconnect. The farther I got away, the less I heard. But it was always there crying, screaming because I kept taking knives and cutting it. It was bleeding and the blood, the energy, was like the cords and it was eaten by the darkness, absorbed into the ground. Millions pour their most precious gift out onto the ground and as they continue to grow weaker, the mind and body become more animalistic which you can see on the streets, on TV, in magazines. Feed your needs. Sex, drugs, money, fame, gluttony, envy, even some forms of organized religion are nothing more than outlets people are attempting to plug their minds into as opposed to the soul. Rules, guidelines, demands, expectations replace other groups. Therapy, meditation, yoga or money, greed, power, corporate ladders or sex and sexual games where there are the hunted and the prey or the game of the high life with all the favors and on and on and on.

None of the above are evil alone, but they become evil when they are replacements or covers for the sou – when they consume your soul. Possession has many faces. Most think of the lunatic, the screaming rock star, but many are even more possessed with picket fences and church services that are as empty and stale as dry toast.

The greatest Commandment was "Love thy neighbor as thyself." That and, of course, "Love the Lord with all your body, mind and soul."

The reason religion is stale is because many go to church with their bodies, with their minds. The reason divorce is so high is people "love" with their bodies, with their minds, but not with their souls. The reason suicide is so high is thirteen year olds, twenty year olds, know they're missing something and life feels empty and the world looks hopeless. It's the reason humanity is rapidly destroying the world, the reason money is killing millions, choking them, bombing them, the reason the sex industry is America's largest export.

Yet, no one seems to make it meaningful. It's the reason September 11th happened. It's the reason for most of the world's problems. It is so obvious, but we ignore it. We have chosen to pull the plug.
