Do you see yourself as a musician or more as a
model or a photographer ?
I see myself as a creator. Music is my first love, but I love all the forms
of expression. When did you start to make music - and when did you start to work
as a photographer ?
I was singing from early childhood. All the time in the woods. I sang songs
to the trees and the birds. I didn't go to school, so I would wander around for
hours singing songs. Then, when I was eleven, I discovered the piano and
when I was 15, I discovered the computer. Although I didn't really start making
music on the computer a lot till last year, I was afraid of it till I figured
out it was just like photoshop. I started taking pictures when I was modeling
and then people told me how great they were. The first time it really hit was
september 11 though because I was locked inside and I needed a way to let out
the pain of what I saw, so I did a series with blood coming out of my eyes to
be symbolic of the death and destruction and mourning. What is your inspiration
for both - music and photography ?
Life, people, beauty and truth. I want to capture beauty and emotion and to show
things in a new way. I am always inspired. Do you have any plans to go on tour
with your music, perhaps in Europe ?
Yes with my next album. I am working on visuals and may be kidnapping a few cats
to come with me :) The music is very different from Neverland. It
is more powerful and it is dealing with the state of the world. To give
you a bit of an idea, the introduction to the album is called instructions.
"All our lives we have been told to follow these instructions -- Don't talk
about God, Dont talk about sex, Dont talk about Religion, Don't Talk about Politics.
Just accept and Obey and everything will be ok. Don't question the system,
Don't question religion, Don't question the president"
it goes on, but you get the idea.....;)
So once we finish the album and the visuals, yes we want to tour. The time is
here.Isn't it exhausting to work as a musician, a model and a photographer at
the same time ?
